2023-2024
In 2023, Fleurie, the alt-pop project of Nashville-based Lauren Strahm, released Supertropicali, an album that explores the seductive yet hollow allure of fame. The song follows Serenity, a 17-year-old girl from Osaka who moves to Los Angeles in pursuit of her dreams, examining how easily we can become the versions of ourselves we once criticized.
Household Name Studio translated this narrative into a striking visual identity that amplifies the tension between desire and emptiness. The over-the-top glamour of neon colors, bold typography, and surreal, hyper-stylized imagery immerses viewers in a world of spectacle, while simultaneously reflecting the artificiality and performative pressures of fame. The visuals create a palpable dichotomy—inviting the audience to revel in the fantasy while feeling the underlying critique.
These visual themes extended into merchandise and digital collateral, allowing fans to engage with the story and experience the duality of aspiration and self-awareness firsthand. Through this project, Fleurie and Household Name Studio crafted a cohesive audio-visual experience that deepens the listener’s connection to the music while bringing its narrative to life.
